Given that there is a panel at the SJC Research Symposium on women's pathways into and out of jail, I thought I'd re-share the report that some of us at Vera wrote about Buncombe County, NC, in 2022, as part of our SJC partnership there. This is based on interviews with nearly all of the women who were in the jail in Sept 2021, as well as admin data.
