Implementing a Data-Informed Familiar Face Strategy: Lessons from 2 SJC Sites (Fall 2022)

This workshop will feature two SJC sites, Fulton Co, GA and Pennington Co, SD, discussing their diversion efforts for individuals known as “familiar faces/high utilizers” across justice, behavioral health, housing, and social service systems. The Council for State Governments (CSG) Justice Center and Policy Research, Inc. (PRI) will also highlight key strategies including building collaboration and buy in to withstand staff transition, screening and identification processes, and the importance of fidelity. The session will then shift into breakout groups where participants and panelists will have an opportunity for peer learning and report out.
