Toward Housing Justice: How Cities Can Build Partnerships to Increase Housing for Justice-Involved Individuals
Join the Housing Solutions Lab (Lab) at the NYU Furman Center and the Center for Justice Innovation (CJI) for a presentation on recent research at the intersection of housing and criminal justice and an introduction to the 2025 Housing Justice Peer Network.
People who have interacted with the criminal legal system face a variety of barriers to accessing stable, affordable housing. Similarly, those who do not have stable housing are more likely to be arrested and have worse outcomes within the legal system. However, despite the connected nature of criminal justice issues and housing stability, these systems often operate in silos.
The Housing Justice Peer Network is a free, virtual 16-month opportunity for housing and criminal justice agencies to build and strengthen partnerships to improve access to housing for justice-involved individuals. The Lab and CJI will provide peer learning opportunities, technical assistance, and policy guidance to participating agencies. Learn more about this opportunity and how to apply at this webinar.
