About Bright Research Group (BRG)

Bright Research Group (BRG) is a women of color-owned and operated firm based in Oakland, California. Our work focuses on helping public systems and social impact efforts become more responsive to impacted communities, particularly Latino, African American, and low-income populations. This gathering is facilitated by the Bright Research Group (BRG) Senior Fellows, all of whom are justice-impacted leaders working to advance meaningful change in criminal justice reform.

BRG has cultivated a network of nearly 100 peer professionals and PWLE to lead social impact efforts in areas like violence prevention, housing, criminal justice reform, and behavioral health. Our approach includes fellowships and workshops that bring together professionals and community leaders to co-design solutions to social and racial inequities.
