On Thursday, December 12, a new brief will be released: “Civil Rights and Pretrial Risk Assessment Instruments.” The brief is authored by David G. Robinson and Logan Koepke of Upturn, Inc. and is the second brief put out by the Pretrial Risk Management Project, a research initiative supported by the Safety and Justice Challenge. This new brief is part of the MacArthur Foundation’s ongoing commitment to support independent research around pretrial reform, including the use of risk assessment instruments.
