Continuing the Conversation: The Unintended Consequences of Pretrial Reform Webcast (December 2019)

12-11-2019 09:57 AM

As communities move forward with local pretrial justice system reforms, data and anecdotal evidence are revealing unintended consequences of practices such as pretrial assessment, electronic monitoring, and release conditioning. Mid-course corrections are needed to ensure that the policies and practices being put in place are on track to achieve decarceral goals.

This webcast (recorded December 10th, 2019) expands on the workshop held at the October 2019 SJC Meeting and give participants an opportunity to continue to discuss implications for their own work, share action steps they've engaged in, and ask in-depth questions about how this information can be effectively acted upon locally.
