We explain what is in SJR 5 (which expands no-bail jailing without due process), SBs 9 and 75 (which entrench the use of monetary bail), and SJR 1 (which targets immigrants with mandatory jailing), emphasizing that these laws, if enacted, would force Texas jails to send more people out of county or even out of state while awaiting trial.
