This workshop will share an overview and lessons learned from the Just Home project, the SJC initiative aimed at breaking the connections between housing instability and incarceration. Research shows a clear link between homelessness, housing instability, and criminal justice system interactions. The Just Home project supports SJC sites to develop community-driven systems change interventions in the housing and criminal justice systems to break that cycle. Join this workshop to hear from Minnehaha County and the City and County of San Francisco about the unique housing projects they have developed to address the needs of people with criminal justice system involvement, and to learn more about how they have successfully brought partners to work together across silos between the housing and criminal justice systems.
