Good afternoon all,

I am pleased to share that the Safety and Justice Challenge 2023 Research Year-in-Review is now LIVE! We have grown our prior publication, formerly known as the Research Digest, to include a comprehensive roundup of the latest research from sites across the initiative. The Review is compiled by CUNY ISLG, which serves as the national data intermediary and primary data and analytic partner for the SJC, as well as the manager of the SJC Research Consortium.

This new edition of the Review summarizes research that took place in 2023, provides updates on new Research Consortium member organizations and reviewers, includes information on newly funded work, recently published research products, and summarizes what has been learned to date across research projects about racial and ethnic disparities in the criminal legal system.

The Safety and Justice Challenge 2023 Research Year-in-Review can be found here, and an associated blog post highlighting the preliminary research takeaways on racial and ethnic disparities can be found here

We hope you enjoy reading this as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
