HARP continues to provide expert analysis and support to states navigating new requirements under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), which take effect next year. As part of that effort, today HARP is releasing a resource outlining four specific strategies for states to consider as they prepare to implement OBBBA requirements while they continue to strengthen public health and safety through improved access to health care at reentry.
You can find our new resource, "State Strategies to Leverage Existing Medicaid Reentry Practices to Support Implementation of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA)," here.
This resource builds on earlier HARP publications to provide actionable steps states may take to leverage reentry approaches to implement some aspects of OBBBA's new community engagement requirements, including some exemptions from those requirements and more frequent Medicaid eligibility renewals. As a reminder, in November we released an analysis examining OBBBA's Medicaid provisions and their potential impact on continuity of care and public safety.
As always, we encourage you to reach out with questions or feedback - don't hesitate to reach out to us via the SJC Exchange, via email, or through our website www.healthandreentryproject.org
