The Leadership Conference Education Fund (an SJC allied partner) is proud to partner with the 2nd Lt. Richard W. Collins Foundation, Khalid Jabara Foundation, Matthew Shepard Foundation, and Susan Bro to launch a new survivor-informed resource, Supporting Community Resilience: A Resource for Municipalities on Preventing and Responding to Hate Crimes.

Over the past two years, the Fighting Hate and Bias Program at The Leadership Conference identified best practices and lessons learned from individuals, communities, and local governments who have experienced and responded to hate crimes. This work, together with critical benchmarks identified by the Hate Crime Task Force over the course of its decades-long advocacy work, helped to inform this resource for municipalities.

Supporting Community Resilience: A Resource for Municipalities on Preventing and Responding to Hate Crimes serves both as an entry point for municipalities looking to engage in the important work of creating inclusive communities, building anti-hate infrastructure, and supporting victims and survivors of hate crimes, as well as a resource to support municipalities already engaged in this work.
