Hi friends,

In our work, we continue to find that simple statistics showing the scale of mass incarceration are key to explaining the need for decarceration to people unfamiliar with the legal system. Today, we published a short blog post laying out 10 of the statistics we consider most handy to have in conversations and campaigns. Each statistic in the article is accompanied by a Prison Policy Initiative graphic.

We initially thought of this for internal use, but decided it could have movement value, so I wanted to share it with you.
